Don Caballero Don is an established Reentry Specialist, having received training from the Institute for PrisonMinistries at the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College. His hands-on experience in housingand transition includes being the Co-Founder and Director of The Clay Transitional LivingHomes. He has deep knowledge of the correctional system, having served as the California &Texas Academy Program Manager for Prison Fellowship and as the Program Director for theMadera Rescue Mission. Furthermore, Don is a Certified Train-the-Trainer for SAMHSA’s GainCenter, specializing in “How Being Trauma-Informed Improves Criminal Justice SystemResponses.”Committed to improving community responses, Don actively participates in several advisory andgovernance groups. He is a Council Member for the Correctional Community TransitionalProgram (CCTP) within the Madera County Department of Corrections, and he serves as aMerced County Probation Prop 47 Advisory Board Member. Don’s leadership extends to his roleas Board President of the Merced County Jail Ministry and as a Board Member for FEMA inMadera, CA. He also applies his insights as an Educational Consultant for the Merced CountyOffice of Education and is a Business Owner of D & J Consulting.Don holds an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Calvary Christian College and Seminary, and hestudied Business Administration at San Francisco City College. He was honored in 2015 as theFresno/Madera Counties Police Chief’s Association Citizen of the Year.
