Zhuo “Simon” Liu, who, in 1997 at the age of 16, was arrested and subsequently sentenced to 26 years in prison. Liu, who immigrated from China with his family, also faced deportation after his release. However, he has found employment as a software engineer at a startup specializing in bookkeeping, thanks to his education in prison. His transformation is attributed to The Last Mile.
