The Last Mile Set to Expand Options

The Last Mile has secured $10 million in funding from Citadel founder Ken Griffin and the Stand Together Foundation. This investment aims to expand technology training programs within prisons and conduct research on their effectiveness.

With this additional funding, the organization plans to serve more individuals impacted by the justice system in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. They are also developing new education tracks, including sales and entrepreneurship programs, alongside their existing coding and audio-video production offerings. The Last Mile aims to expand its presence to at least 10 states by the end of the year and double its footprint within the next three years.
