For the last few years, working with The Last Mile has been a powerful part of my life that is hard to overestimate. Regardless of what life is handing me, TLM has been a source of joy and pride. Truly, one of the reasons I’ve continued volunteering with TLM is one of selfishness- being with the guys and talking with them (and seeing them after release!) has brought me an immense amount of happiness in my life.

Finally, watching the students grow and build skills has been incredible. Every new visit I make, they students have conquered a new difficult task and have moved onto the next challenge. It’s inspiring and has changed my way of thinking on numerous occasions.
This is an amazing program.
