Empowering Entrepreneurs: The Last Mile in partnership with Empower by GoDaddy

The Last Mile (TLM) believes in the power of entrepreneurship to transform lives and communities. That’s why TLM is proud to partner with Empower by GoDaddy, GoDaddy’s global social impact program dedicated to supporting underserved entrepreneurs and their aspirations. By partnering with diverse local nonprofits and community organizations around the world, like TLM, Empower by GoDaddy aims to reach those who haven’t otherwise had access by offering skills training, resources, and mentoring to help accelerate their business journeys. 

Empower by GoDaddy takes an approach that is rooted in its core strengths — digital education, coaching, and mentorship opportunities. With a focus on supporting the unique needs of entrepreneurs in underserved communities, this partnership will lend itself to helping TLM’s alumni overcome barriers and achieve their goals.

Supporting Entrepreneurs Every Step of the Way
One of the key ways GoDaddy and TLM will equip entrepreneurs is through customized workshop curriculum. These workshops are designed to provide practical digital skills and knowledge that entrepreneurs can immediately apply to their businesses. Additionally, the partnership will offer one-on-one and group mentorship and coaching, providing entrepreneurs with personalized guidance and support. 

In-kind products and services are also part of the support package, helping justice-impacted entrepreneurs access essential digital tools and resources they need to succeed. Over the course of 10 weeks, the cohort of students will participate in asynchronous workshops and activities, and allocate a one-hour check-in with mentors each week. The entrepreneurs will have access to GoDaddy-led webinars on topics covering social media advertising, search engine optimization, generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), and how to build a website with GoDaddy’s GenAI-infused Websites + Marketing. 

Central to the joint approach is a mutual network of support. Empower by GoDaddy has three pillars in its program model: education, networking, and mentorship. Entrepreneurs will have access to a community of like-minded individuals, creating a supportive environment where they can learn from each other and grow together. TLM’s reentry team supports returned citizens with other basic needs from housing to resume building and interview preparedness.
